astramental game
July 2025 – Present
- WIP cooperative incremental game written in Godot/GDScript worked on by myself and one other, hosted on a public GitHub repository.
- Designed all major systems and interactions in the game, which was compiled into a design document we then acted on.
- Implemented game systems by using an Agile/Extreme Programming workflow with weekly sprints, coordinating pull requests and merges with my collaborator, and meeting weekly to talk about issues that come up.

- Built from scratch using Apache, HTML, CSS, PHP, SQLite, JS. Hosted on a public GitHub repository.
- Secured website by implementing HTTPS through Let's Encrypt/Certbot, using latest security headers, installing the OWASP CRS ruleset, and preventing common attacks like SQL injection through intelligent coding practices.
- Made site mobile-friendly, responsive, and accessible through CSS media queries, using WebAIM's WAVE accessibility tester and DevTools accessibility tree, and doing research on accessibility standards.

- shapez.io is an open-source factory-building videogame written in Node.js, with over $1 million in sales.
- Contributed over 300 lines of code to the final game by building it from scratch off the public GitHub repository, learning the technologies involved, and making pull requests for open issues and personal desires.
- Credited by name in version 1.1.18 of the game.

factorio modding
August 2018 – October 2019
- Factorio is a factory-building videogame with over 3.5 million sales, with a rich modding API using Lua.
- Started writing mods with the Lua modding API and Inkscape, with no tutorials at the time and only other mods to go off of.
- Published 17 mods accumulating 41,238 downloads before they became incompatible with game updates.

in-vehicle intrusion detection system
September 2018 – April 2019
- Worked in a group of 4 during college to refine an existing Intrusion Detection System model designed to detect malicious frames on the CAN bus of a car.
- The model had 2 stages — a set of fixed rules to detect obvious injections/deletions, and a neural network stage using tensorflow and Python 3.
- Wrapped the existing model in a Qt5 GUI using QML and Python 3, along with adding unit tests.
- Made the finished product publically available, consisting of over 5700 lines of code.

- Worked with 3 other students with direction from a professor to do novel research in the field of several complex variables.
- Successfully published our result in the journal Involve, as well as giving two talks on our research at the SUMMR and YMC conferences.

- Completed Google IT Support, ITF+, and A+ certifications in only 8 weeks of the allotted 20 week program by working ahead of the material presented in class, utilizing previous notes and knowledge from college classes and self-study, and dedicating significant time to studying every day.
- Set up a presentation and video for an NPower community mixer by assisting the user with moving their presentation, preparing and connecting a laptop to the display TV, and troubleshooting the issues not having worked with the TV before, resulting in a successful presentation without any technical difficulties.
- Created and worked with relational databases, websites, virtual machines, and networks through completing projects, resulting in new content for my personal website and a better understanding of these topics.

- Helped ten to twelve K-12 students a day with mathematics by meeting them at their experience level, explaining concepts in multiple ways, and correcting their errors quickly, making sure that students understood the concepts by the end of the session.
- Spent 30 minutes a day writing detailed notes for every student by balancing giving attention to students and keeping up to date with notes, allowing parents to understand how their kids are doing.
- Maintained binders of work for each student by specifying what work needed to be added at the end of every session, including special work for particular pain points students were having, ensuring students' work is up to date and appropriate for their skill level.

- Improved the carload sort, a manual paper sorting task, by using existing data with Excel spreadsheet formulas to create a checklist of expected numbers, saving 20-30 minutes a day by allowing errors to be corrected quicker.
